We’re proud to share that our Managing Director, Faresh Maisuria, was shortlisted by Leeds Beckett University for the Award for Excellence: Outstanding Employer Contribution. This category recognises employers who go above and beyond to create meaningful real‑world learning opportunities and support student and graduate careers.

Blueberry was named alongside leading organisations including Enterprise Mobility, Labcorp, Ridge Consultants, Redmayne Bentley and The Onlii Group, reflecting the strength of our ongoing partnership with Leeds Beckett and our shared commitment to employability. Blueberry’s journey began in 2005 from a virtual office at Leeds Beckett, and nearly two decades on, Faresh continues to give back as an Entrepreneur in Residence, mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs and championing early‑career talent.

Speaking about the event, Faresh said: “What really struck me last night was hearing students talk about the difference real, first‑hand work experience has made for them. Several students said that not so long ago they would have felt nervous about stepping into the workplace or presenting on stage; now, because they’ve had direct support and opportunities with employers, they’re more confident, clearer about their future and better prepared for life after university. As an employer, it’s powerful to see how much impact relatively small interactions – a project, a placement, some mentorship – can have on students’ soft skills, confidence and overall employability. I’d encourage any business that can to get involved with their local university; when education and employers work together, it genuinely changes outcomes for young people.”

Although Enterprise Mobility took home the award on the night, being recognised on this shortlist is a testament to the contribution Faresh and the Blueberry team are making to students, graduates and the wider Leeds business community. We’re incredibly grateful to Leeds Beckett for the nomination and look forward to continuing to grow our partnership and create new opportunities for future talent.
