We have partnered with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Sustrans and BikeRight! to launch the new CityConnect Cycle scheme in the Leeds City Region.
The scheme offers discounted bikes and free cycle training to job seekers and apprentices in the region, aimed at helping them make the most of local work and leisure opportunities.
Officially launching on Thursday 10th August 2017, we are one of the first businesses in the region to take part and currently have two apprentices at the business who will be benefitting from the scheme.
Faresh Maisuria, Director of Blueberry Marketing said:
“At Blueberry Marketing, apprentices have been an integral part of our growth plans and continue to be so. We deliver a number of projects in the public sector raising awareness of funded initiatives including apprenticeship programmes, and so it’s great to now be involved in the City Connect scheme, helping to support & boost development in the Leeds City Region. Having recently moved to a new office in the city centre, the programme is really going to make getting to and from work more accessible and affordable for the team. We are very excited and happy to be part of it”
As well as discounted bikes, the scheme will also offer training courses for cyclists to refresh skills, build confidence and ride more efficiently in busy urban centres. Training is provided by Sustrans and BikeRight! and will follow government guidance to help people learn how to cycle on the roads.
